"Imprese e storia" is a biannual business history journal. It publishes original historical research on a set of business history-related areas including industrial, management, and labour history, the history of technology and technological change, the history of financial institutions and market regulation.
It encourages plurality of methodological and empirical approaches and welcomes theoretical debate.
Since its founding in 1990, the journal hosts on a regular basis a section dedicated to business historical archives, where new sources for research are presented, and issues are debated that are of common interest to business archivists and historians.
All articles submitted for publication undergo a peer-reviewing process by at least two blind referees.
From 2004 the journal is listed on EconLit, where English abstracts of the articles can be found.
Starting in 2007, the journal will also publish English written articles.
